Disable the Compatibility Mode


Issue: Using a scrollbar in the search options area with the terms expanded results in garbled text. (View screenshot.)

Environment: IE8 on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7
Cause: This is caused due to the compatibility mode in IE 8.
Solution: Disable compatibility mode in the browser.


1. Go to Tools -> Compatibility View Settings.

2. Uncheck all the options.
