Browse The BAMS Nested Structures data in NIF
For more information, visit the BAMS homepage or Neurolex Entry for the BAMS

BAMS is an online resource for information about neural circuitry. The BAMS Nested Structures view focuses on the major brain regions and their connectivity relationships.

To access BAMS Nested Structures information through NIF, we can search for a specific brain region. For example, Primary Somatosensory Area below.

Results for BAMS: Nested Structures can be found under;

Data Federation > Nervous System Level > Brain RegionsMacintosh HD:Users:jcachat:Desktop:NIFTutorials:BAMSNested2.png

Within the BAMS Cell results set, the following information can be found: Region 1, Region 2, topological relationship, annotation, reference and Collator. From these results, users are able to come the nested and connection relationships between primary brain regions.

From these search results, users are able to export the complete structured dataset, as a CVS file, and perform secondary statistical analyses across Nested Brain Regions using the export button located on the upper right above the search results.
