This website makes data available from the first round of data sharing projects that were supported by the CRCNS funding program, more data sets will become available over time. Anyone can learn about the data sets available here and download them.
The Collaborative Research in Computational Neuroscience (CRCNS) is a joint program of NSF and NIH that, since 2002, has supported integration of theoretical and experimental neuroscience through collaborative research projects typically involving two to five senior investigators. CRCNS has recently begun to offer funding for a new class of proposals focused on the sharing of data and other resources.
Data from CRCNS can be found through the NIF interface by searching for key words. Here we search for hippocampus:

The database tab shows many results including one in the dataset category. Below, we have clicked on the CRCNS link and find that the results are found in three columns, name, pubmed_ID and download. All three are links to the data, but we recommend selecting the name link as this will lead the user to a full description of the dataset as well as a place to download the data. The links to PubMed and Download lead to the Pubmed entry for the paper describing the data set and the location that it can be downloaded, respectively.

Clicking on the name link leads to this page within the CRCNS database:

Note that there are links to publications that utilized this data set as well as other information about the dataset. See below for additional types of information that can be found about these data.
