NIF 2.5: New Features

1. Save Search – log in, and save your refined search

2. Conceptual Query –  NIF automatically expands the query for some categories to include children of that category – try “Gabaergic neuron”, “cerebellar neuron”, “intrinsic neuron”, or “drug of abuse” see more

3. Entity Highlighting – mouse over words in brown anywhere in the search results.  Right click to find out what it means, links for that term and to query for that term.

4. New query modes for more efficient exploration of NIF results – right click on any highlighted term to add term to current query string or replace the current query string

5. NIF Cards (Beta) – Find more information on cells and brain regions by using the NIF card option.  NIF cards are accessed by right clicking on any highlighted term and selecting the “Show me a NIF card” option.

6. New Literature Databases – several new full text literature databases are available
