OdorMap Tutorial

For up to date issues or problems with this database please see the wiki.
For more information, please visit the Olfactory Bulb Odor Map Database.

OdorMap is a database of brain activation foci within the olfactory bulb. These data constitute a subset of ORDB data, where a great deal of information is available for a particular odorant molecule.  Note, butanal does not autocomplete at this point in the NIF system, but stay tuned as we enhance our vocabularies.

We can start by searching for a particular odor, or other queries that produce results include: species, fMRI, and olfactory bulb.

Three odor maps can be found under the databases tab, Data Type category and Brain Activation Foci.  These activity patterns are all from the olfactory bulb, glomerular layer of mouse.

Clicking on the name column will take the user to the OdorMap database at SenseLab, where a good deal of additional information is available for each focus, including the map itself (see below).
