WormBase is an international consortium of biologists and computer scientists dedicated to providing the research community with accurate, current, accessible information concerning the genetics, genomics and biology of C. elegans and some related nematodes.

Data from this source can be found in the NIF systems by searching for keywords or for individual gene names.  In some instances even searching for vertebrate genes will bring back worm homologs.

Below we search for the vertebrate gene netrin, and arrive at the worm homolog.

WormBase genes can be found under Nervous System Level > Genes.

Here we can see that Netrin is a term found in the description of unc-6, the worm ortholog.  It is usually safer to search for specific worm genes, but other searches can produce interesting results.

Clicking on the unc-6 link, leads to the WormBase page describing this gene.

Scrolling down reveals genome graphs as well as a worm viewer where expression patterns are described.
